Calvary Heights Baptist Church

Calvary Heights Baptist Church: "believers are a sweet fragrance of Christ to one another as we follow in His victory over sin and death. However, to those who don't know Him as Savior, we are a reminder of the judgment they dread. To one I smell sweet and to one I stink."

Facebook

Facebook: "We are called to act out our faith every day. God works through us to reach those who may never otherwise open the Bible or enter a church. What's more, He borrows our voice to tell His story and uses our life to demonstrate His grace and glory. Good deeds are a believer's labor of love."

Facebook

Facebook: "Too many go to Church get an emotional high and then die the next day as they meet the world head on and wonder what to do because they don't feel that feeling they had at Church. My goal as Pastor is the give the folks who come the sound Word and a sense on how to live it day by day. The excitment is great but short lived, I'm in Church only little but in the world more so I must learn to live for FATHER by faith and not emotions, emotions are not wrong but given by FATHER and my love for HIM is emotional and on purpose. When I learn to live on purpose and on principle then I have come to a place of peace and contentment."

We make choice

We make choices. It's like baseball, you get so many up to bats and you even get 3 strikes & 4 balls with 9 innings but if you don't do well in that you might get to warm the bench or get traded. In life It's more than just a game so we must make the right choices because striking out can cause great losses and getting trade is not fun. The next team may not be as good as the one you just left.

Facebook: "‎'Thank you, FATHER, for all the people YOU have in my life now, the ones YOU had in the past and the ones that will be in the future, all have been or will be there for YOUR purpose in me and not even one was a mistake, each one added something of value, it was to learn what to do or what not to do. Each had my heart and each still lives there by way of love.'"

Facebook

Facebook: "HARD TO SLEEP, thinking but not depressed about the good times and bad times of life and how FATHER has orchestrated it all to this day to bring me into HIS image, I want to be like my FATHER, I want to love like HIM, to serve like, to care like, to have a heart for HIS children, my brothers as HE does. FATHER, what ever it takes I give it to you."

MY RESPONSE IS MY RESPONSIBILITY.: "Laura Register Hester It was quite a load off when I realized (God revealed) that if I am worried about what someone is thinking or saying about me, then they are my focus, so in a sense, I have just exalted them to God's position. Not only was I giving their opinion control of my emotions, I was in idolatry. How ridiculous that if a person hurts you, you make them god!! I came to the conclusion that some people just plain won't like me and I can't help that. But, letting go of trying to fix it/control it released me to love them unconditionally, rather than by seeking to please them and earn their approval. Somehow letting go gives you permission to see their perspective and love them anyway.

And yes, Ken has been on that topic in regard to parenting. I love Ken. He gets it!!"

"I can through Christ"

Too often we let our circumstances determine our attitude. If life is going smoothly, then we feel good about ourselves; when it gets hard, our mood drops. But we don't have to live this way. Like the apostle Paul practice the secret of being content. Contentment means accepting things the way they are—in other words, not wanting anything more or different. This requires developing an "I can through Christ" attitude.

happy ever after

what ever happened to "happy ever after". I know in eternity it will be but the abundant life should also include "happy" too!!!!! I guess it all comes down to as a man thinketh in his heart so is he, stupid brain wake up and smell the coffee. I have joy but there is a difference between joy and happiness. I hate seeing someone eat ice cream when I desire ice cream, what? Can anyone say, "envy".

the Devil wants to Brainwash you

The Devil knows that if he can get to a man, remove the props, strip him of every vestige of aid, take away his security blanket, he can upset him and turn him upside down, destroy his morale, rearrange his thinking, and brainwash him. Where are you at in the Devil's process?

THANK YOU FOR EVERY LONLEY NIGHT I PRAYED UNTILL I KNEW THAT EVERY THING WAS ALRIGHT.
AND I THANK YOU FOR THE VALLEY I WALKED THROUGH TODAY

2) LIFE CAN'T BE ALL SUNSHINE OR THE FLOWERS WOULD DIE.
THE RIVERS WOULD BE ??? ALL BARREN AND DRY.
LIFE CAN'T BE ALL BLESSING FOR THERE'D BE NO NEED TO PRAY. SO I THANK YOU FOR THE VALLEY I WALKED THROUGH TODAY.

Facebook | Kemology

Facebook | Kemology: "These are statements that I live by. I will add to this as I think of things to put.

*** My response is my responsibility. No one can control or make me mad, if I get mad it is because I choose too. Every man must bear his own burden.

*** What I tolerate today I or my children will embrace tomorrow. If we dont stand than our children will fall for it.

*** It's not what the person across the street thinks about me that will hurt me but what I think about the person across the street that will hurt me."

Facebook | Kem G. Lowery: "I believe in the all powerful, uncreated, omnipotent, uncontainable GOD! There! I don't have to forward any text messages and I dont have to put a neat little cross typed out using brackets on my facebook to stand up for God! Quite frankly, I don't need to stand up for God! God is....GOD! I choose to glorify His name because of His grace! He doesn't need me as His defender! He is my defender!"

about to re-live

We always talk about redoing this or that, so why not just decide to re-live your life. I mean re-do, change the way you think and therefore change your life. It all begins with your thinking then moves to your beliefs and then will become a way of life, so who's stopping you other than you and that is the 1st place to make the change.
God said, as a man thinketh so is he, so how are you?

The goal of all discipline should be restoration

2 Thessalonian 3 (King James Version) 14And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother." The goal of all discipline should be restoration. God wants to bless us, not judge us, and sometimes the best way to move us into a place fit for blessing is to make us uncomfortable for a while. C. Stanley

Be you.

Nobody can be who you are, nobody can replace you, and nobody else on this earth is capable of fulfilling the Father's plan for you. Nobody else can do the work HE has gifted you to do, know the people HE is leading you to know, or offer the praise and prayer that HE is giving voice to. You must be and do what Father made you to be and do.

stop the drift

when the motion ends the drift begins. There are so many folks that today are in trouble because they stopped. They stopped living right, eating right, loving right, they stopped doing the right, saying the right and thinking the right. Start again, get the motion going and stop the drift. When you drift you have no control, take back the power of you.

if the sink is leaking fix it, if the car needs gas put some in it, if you have a cut put a bandage on it and if you need to get things right do it. MAKE NO PROVISION FOR FAILURE. Did you get it, now do something about it!!!!!!!

Time to start once again

It has been a while that I posted anything, many changes in life and much not as I have desired have come. Now is the time to begin a again to take back what the locusts have eaten. FATHER has been my school master for many years but during this past year I have come to understand more of what HE has been saying and at times liked it and at other times did not. It is only when we become teachable can we learn any way. I have said for years we should be "F.A.T. for Jesus", what I mean is F= faithful, A= available and T= teachable. If we would but learn these three simple things just think how much more we could grow and be used by FATHER.
