The Magic of the Moment

When it seems the magic's slipped away, in life, we all seem to believe we have to grow up and become adults but what does that really mean? I know it means responsibility but does that mean we have to become cynical and humbug about all things in life. Christ said we were not promised tomorrow and to take no thought for tomorrow so what is it that HE is trying to tell us? I believe it is that we can trust HIM and we should still live in the magic of the moment and listen for the Dreams that are calling like bells in the distance. Why not become dreamers again. Can my God still answer the dreams that we have? We look at the past failures and judge the moment in such a way that we over shadow the future with hopelessness and this is why we lose the magic. Let's find it all again this year on Christmas day. There were those who thought that day, that is the 1st. Christmas - our Saviors birth,  would never come but it did. Some still do not believed it and the magic of that moment for them one day will be past. Their future will be sealed with doom. May we not be as those and seal our future with doom because of our failure to see the magic of the moment that we have been given.

the storm

When trouble strikes, we sometimes forget our knowledge of God too. We struggle to recall past answers to prayer, specific guidance provided by the Holy Spirit, and lessons learned in previous crises. Only the present seems real. Our minds spin with future implications, and our troubled emotions inhibit clear thinking.

In our own strength, we lack sufficient resources and abilities to meet life's challenges. So God provides what we need. Our suffering is never a surprise to the Lord. He knows everything we are going through. More than that, He’s orchestrating our circumstances for His glory and our benefit, according to His good will.

Reflecting on the divine purpose in hardship can help us respond to trials in a God-honoring way. --- C. Stanley

light in darkness

I had stepped back on my restoration of mind, soul, spirit and body the past 5 weeks and now feel a step forward, feel life coming back in veins that had closed due to loss of purpose and darkness of dreams and vision. New light is beginning to come through the clouds and life is springing from a cold hardened soil. Hope and change, new love is causing the blood to flow .

from the heart poem of Kem lowery "I Wait at the Door"

"(another poem  from the heart  Kem Lowery ) "I Wait at the Door"

Dear heart, you have avoided me lately and I feel weakness of strength. My beloved the key that you hold can open a door that has been closed for far too long, the cob webs and dust has given way to the darkness and the light of day evades, hiding the warmth that once filled this room of emptiness. An empty place awaits the one with the key. Oh, key holder, whoever you maybe come now and open the door so that warmth may come and darkness can disappear. I wait at the door!!!!!!!"

I'm sitting alone
Pretending to read
Don't come near me
I am bleeding
I live by myself
I eat on my own
I don't take chances
Just leave me alone
Leave me alone
I know it's absurd
I know it's not right
But I'm still hurting
Since the last fight
Got lost in the rain
Got left in the dark
He took my life
He took my heart
Ohhhh ohhh
Damaged and bruised like a toy that's been used
I'm nothing to him
I'm nothing to you
Broken and torn
This is your warning
I'm desperate for you
But I'm damaged
I'm damaged and bruised
I push you away
Because I am scared
I am empty
I am lonely
There is no time
There's no room for lies
It's hard to trust when people lie
Ohhhh ohhh
CHORUS
If I gave you one chance
Would you take my hand?
If I gave you my heart
Would you love me 'til the end?
Damaged and bruised like a toy that's been used
I'm nothing to him
Make me something to you
Broken and torn
This is your warning
I'm desperate for you
I'm desperate
I'm damaged and bruised

nothing but a broken vessel

If in life you have a heart bent on hatred you will find defeat by your own vice. Many live in a quarry of false notions based upon emotional instability. The cross of which they carry is a cross of burden weighed down with selfishness, pride and the like of which man is so pron to find himself in. When we look to ourselves for happiness and strength we always come up short, for within us is corruption, weakness and emptiness. Man left to himself is nothing but a broken vessel.

A Godly Response to Criticism

A Godly Response to Criticism

Read | Proverbs 15:31-33
No one likes criticism, but encountering some is inevitable, so we need to learn how to respond in a godly way. Although you might be tempted to become defensive or angry, remain calm and listen. The words may hurt, but great benefits come to those who carefully consider what is said.
If we refuse to accept reproof, we'll limit our potential for Christlike character development and spiritual growth. Some of life's best lessons come through difficult experiences. If God allowed the situation, you can be sure that He wants to use it in transforming you into His Son's image. Whether the criticism is valid or not, whether it's delivered with kindness or harshness, your goal should always be to respond in a way that glorifies the Lord. Remember that you are responsible only for how you handle yourself, not for how the other person is acting.
When a criticism comes your way, be quiet and listen until the other person has finished. Make direct eye contact to show attentiveness and respect. When your critic finishes, thank him for bringing his concerns to your attention, and tell him that you will consider what he's said. Ask the Lord if the accusation is valid. Let Him search your heart and either affirm your innocence or convict you.
Every rebuke is an opportunity from God. It's a chance to let your Christian character shine by showing love to your critic. If he is angrily attacking you, your respect and kindness become a powerful testimony. Criticism is also an occasion to humble yourself and accept the Lord's correction.

This my view on love.

This my view on love.

so many people will say, "I just want someone to accept me for who I am and love me for who I am", I believe that is a problem with our home and the brake up of our marriages. I believe in what I call "JUST BECAUSE LOVE" that is I will love you just because I choose too not because of who you are or because of who you will become. People stop loving because they don't like what the person they fell in love became. We all change so the real love is "JUST BECAUSE LOVE", it is my choice and I choose to love based on me and not you. :JUST BECAUSE LOVE" is I believe the love that my FATHER shows. If you want to make a statement than say it this way, "I want someone to love me for who I am and for who I will become even if it is not what they expected but they will love me any way". This is Kem G. Lowery and this is my view on love, like or lick it try to prove me wrong but if I loved you ever I still love you now and you can hurt me, walk away, or love me back but my love is based on me and not you so you can not ever make me stop loving you unless I choose too and may I say I never will stop. I love you just because.

Barnacles are a form of crustacean, like a shrimp or a lobster, but not nearly as tasty. Barnacles are described by one scientific publication as highly modified for sedentary life. Barnacles don’t even need a female barnacle to reproduce. One barnacle can reproduce itself. Sedentary and solitary. They pretty much just sit and eat. They are non-motile, are you a Barnacle?

Some people are Barnacles Clinging to someone, slowing them down, causing needless conflict, draining time, and straining emotions, these are the characteristics of the human barnacle. These kinds of people can weigh you down, and if you are not careful, they will sink you.

Keep Moving The truth is that some type of barnacle besets all of us. Barnacles are like sins, they are ugly, they are a drag on your life, and just as tenacious.
